Karp Construction Inc is a licensed general contractor (CSLB #1101266, B General Building) based in Elk Grove, owned and run by Bill Karp, working across the Sacramento area.
We build ADUs, room additions and garage conversions, handle remodels and repairs — kitchens, bathrooms, dry rot and structural work — and rebuild after fire, water and storm damage.
Ten years in the construction field, licensed, bonded and insured, and Bill Karp overseeing your job personally from the first walk-through to the final inspection.
It starts with a free visit: we come out, look at the space with you, and follow up with a written estimate, usually by the next day.
Meet the owner
Bill Karp.
Bill tells it in his own words:
I started in construction about ten years ago as a finish carpenter at a local fire-restoration company and worked my way up to project manager — mostly fire damage, some water. Five years there took me from small repairs to much larger losses, and I grew with the company.
A second company, a construction group running several businesses at once, brought me on as a project manager. Six months later I was overseeing other project managers, then general manager, and I stayed two and a half years — from field work to teams, receivables, sales and production. That is where I learned how a job actually gets run from start to finish.
I applied for my own contractor's license while I was still with the first company and had my four years of experience signed off. Testing stalled during COVID, but the state eventually gave me a date and I passed. After a short stint at a remodel company, I went out on my own. Best decision I have made.
